OUR SPEAKERS

DETECTIVE SUPERINTENDENT DEBORAH WALLACE is also celebrating a 25 year milestone, having been with the NWS Police Force since 1983, when she began as a probationary constable in Blacktown. She developed a special interest in the area of Asian crime within Sydney and through the years has stepped up to her current rank of Detective Superintendent South East Asian Crime Squad. Deborah has received several awards and is committed to the improvement of youth faced with violence, drug and gang issues. Hers will be a compelling and absorbing address.

JULIE TALBOT is a member of Bootscooters International and teaches line dancing at several venues. It is an excellent way to become fitter and make new friends. Serious linedancers participate in competitions and exhibitions, but Julie’s groups also have social functions of weekend getaways, coffee mornings and lunch gatherings, plus charity fundraising.

MARLENE MATHEWS-O’SHEA is a vibrant speaker who gained 2 bronze medals in the 1956 Melbourne Olympic Games, when she competed in the 100m and 200m sprints. She was present at the Munich Olympics in 1972 when a band of Arab guerrillas attacked the Israeli compound in the Olympic village on 5th September. She will have a gripping story to tell.
